Overview

Kathmandu is an exotic valley with rich culture, art and tradition. Kathmandu Valley is not only cultural, political and commercial center of Nepal but also it is the capital city of Nepal. This package tour combines Kathmandu valley and Chitwan National Park which is the most popular destination for tourists wanting to have a good experience of the region's wildlife. Chitwan is a National Park but the best place to explore the surrounding and immerse in Tharu Culture. The park is enriched with over 70 species of animals including some of the world's endangered species such as Royal Bengal Tiger, Great one horned Rhinoceros, Gaur, Gharial, Crocodile and over 450 species of colorful birds. This tour is recommendable for the family with kids and for young and old alike.


Details Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,295 m/4,273 ft).

Arriving in Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) - Transfer by Private car / van (depends on size of group) to the selected hotel - Stay overnight on bed and breakfast plan.

Day 2 : Visit world heritage sites in Kathmandu.

Full day Kathmandu sight seeing (world heritages sites) - Boudhanath stupa, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple by private car / van (depends on group size) with city tour guide. - Stay overnight on bed and breakfast plan.

Day 3 : Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (monkey temple) and Patan city tour with city tour guide - Stay overnight on bed and breakfast plan.

Day 04: Early morning departure from Kathmandu to Chitwan(after breakfast) . On your arrival at Chitwan, our representative will pick you up and transfer you to our camp where you will be offered refreshment & given a briefing about our programs. After being given your program details for the day, then your room will be allocated to you.

13.00 pm - Lunch.

15.00 pm - Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Sunset view from the bank of Rapti River.

19.00 pm - Tharu cultural dance presentation by the local villagers or a slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan.

20.00 pm - Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Day 05: 06.00 am- Wake up call for morning activities.

06.30 am- Breakfast at the resort.

07.00 am- Canoe ride along the Rapti river. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk + elephant bathing.

13.00 pm - Lunch at the resort.

15.00 pm - Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (if you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.

19.00 pm - Tharu cultural dance show.

20.00 pm - Dinner.

Day 06: 06.00 am - Wake up call.

06.30 am - Breakfast.

07.00 am - Visit to the Elephant Breeding Center.

10.00 am - Drive to Bees Hazaar Taal (Twenty thousand lakes) where you will see crocodiles and lots of birds in and around these lakes.

13.00 pm - Lunch. (Packed Lunch).

15.00 pm - Jeep Drive through the grasslands, riverine forests and Sal forests to Kasara (the National Park's head quarters) Gharial hatchery farm where you will learn about how crocodiles are brought up at this farm & then later released into the rivers.

19.00 pm - Tharu cultural dance presentation or slides show presentation.

20.00 pm - Dinner.

Day 07: 06.30 am - Wake up call.

07.00 am - Breakfast.

07.30 am - Visit to the National Park Visitor's center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife.

10.00 am - Departure.

Day 08: Chitwan to Kathmandu (drive by bus / car / flight).

Day 09: Morning Yoga and Meditation 7 to 9 am and rest hour enjoy for shopping time evening 5 to 6 Pm one hour Ayurvedic meditation

Day 10 : Drop to Airport or extend your holiday
