Meditation Retreat and Nature Tour in Kathmandu


Overview

Goniyore Yog Ashram Nepal has designed new courses for those who are completely new learn in  meditation. Over the next seven days, you will explore the breath, mind, body, and emotional states. During this course, to know more about meditation, you will be taken to the Osho Tapoban, Shivapuri Baba Ashram, and  guru Gorakhnath Baba Ashram.

The meditation in this course will help you learn to calmly focus and concentrate your mind and bring your full awareness to something specific such as being more compassionate, more kind, or help in overcoming life’s difficulties. 

After learning a number of techniques, you will walk away ready to continue your practice using whichever method suits you best. The main goal of yoga and meditation is to calm the mind, to reduce the stress and fearfulness. The deeper the devotion towards yoga and meditation, the deeper is the harmony of mind is attained. Regular yoga and meditation steadily increase the willpower and the concentration. It is bliss to control the body, breath, and mind. So based on the individual interest, the ancient scholars observed mainly following yogic accesses to reach the main destination.During your course we take you Heritage site tour Pashupatinath swoyambhunath Boudhanath and one day nature tour to Chovar .


Details Itinerary

Day 1st As per your previous communication and confirmation, Goniyore Yog ashram will arrange to pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. You will rest and at 5:00 p.m, they take you to the yoga centre for the briefing about your program. 

You will be back to your hotel at 7:00 p.m. You will enjoy your dinner, walk around for one hour, and stay overnight at the hotel. If you are already nearby, you can call and join in their program. If needed, Goniyore Yog ashram will provide you the pickup service for only nearby four kilometers.

Day 2nd: Teach you the breathing technique You will wake up at 5:00 a.m and at 6:00 a.m, you will reach the yoga center and start 20 minutes of warm up exercises. Then, Goniyore Yog ashram will teach you the breathing technique for one and a half hour. You will stay at salvation for 15 minutes. 

From 9:00 a.m to 9:30 a.m there will be briefing. You will have the herbal tea and vegetarian breakfast at 10:00 a.m. Then, it is your free time until 4:00 pm when you join a two-hour session of mantra meditation.

At 6:00 p.m, you will practice Bhakti yoga. From 7:30 p.m is the time for your dinner and overnight. In the winter, the session starts from 7:00 a.m. Your first lesson is a gentle breath exercise, which encourages you to simply notice the sensation of breathing and how it feels in your body.

Day 3rd: Teach you external feeling

Similar to the above schedule, you will learn to focus on the external environment and the role of your senses to help bring you into the here and now. Today, they will drive you to Os ho Tapoban retreat center to have a vegetarian lunch and continue the meditation and then back to the hotel at 5:00 p.m. You will rest, have dinner, and end your night with good sleep.

Day 4th : Witness your thoughts Same as the above schedule. This lesson will teach you to name and identify the thought and feeling (physical sensations) attached to certain emotions. This can help you better understand the roots of your feelings and change your reactions. 

Today, they will drive you to Pashupatinath temple where the grandmaster guru Gorakhnath Baba Ashram is. You will learn about Hatha yoga and mantra meditation. You will be back to the hotel at 5:00 p.m, enjoy your dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 5: Mind-body connection In the early morning, at 5:00 a.m, you will practice the warm up exercise. You will drink herbal tea and drive to Shivapuri National Park at 7:00 a.m. This lesson explores the mind-body connection, encouraging you to focus on how it feels to be in your body. 

You will pay particular attention to areas of tension and tightness by walking you through a gentle body scan. After two hours of walking, you will reach Nagi Gumba and practice two hours of Buddhist meditation. You will be back to the hotel at 5:00 p.m. Today, you will have breakfast on the way and lunch will be packed.

Day 6: Exploring emotions -This lesson will teach you to name and identify the thought and feeling (physical sensations) attached to certain emotions. This can help you better understand the roots of your feelings and change your reactions. You  will drive you to Kopan Monastery and you will reach there at 1:00 p.m. You will learn Buddhist meditation. At 4:00 p.m, you will be back to the hotel, 5 to 6 Pm Ayaurbedic massage  dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 7:th Power of intention -Same as the mentioned time of day two, you will continue to consciously cultivate a feeling or state you wish to experience with the use of intention setting. 

Today is the final visiting day after finishing the meditation. we will take you to Swoyambhunath stupa, red monastery, and continue back to Kathmandu Durbar square. You will be back to the hotel at 4:00 pm, have dinner, and stay overnight.

-Day 8: Finding inner stillness -The full day is the ceremonial day. You can almost reach self-realization on your last day. This day, you again stay together and discuss your feelings, then you can follow this path to continue for Nirvana.

Please note that along with the above mention, we give a few more classes which are singing bowl healing, Reiki healing, deep meditation through mantra, posture, and physical exercise. In the end, they will give you a certificate.
